FRANKFORT, KY – MARCH 11, 2019 –– Investors Heritage was recently chosen as one of Kentucky’s “Best Bets” by CPA firm Dean Dorton and The Lane Report.
“Best Bets” are Kentucky-headquartered companies that are positively impacting the state’s economy. Selections are made based on entrants’ revenue figures, employee investment, re-investment in the company,
and other achievements. More than 30 companies applied for the list with only eight chosen at “Best Bets.” This year, the size of the companies ranged from 1 to more than 300 employees, and revenues ranged from $1 million to $140 million.
This recognition comes on the back of a planned $1 million investment Investors Heritage will make to create an additional 75 full-time jobs and upgrade its Frankfort headquarters. Investors Heritage partnered with the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) for performance-based incentives through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The company’s investment follows a merger in March 2018 of its holding company, Investors Heritage Capital Corporation and an affiliate of Aquarian Holdings. The merger has spurred immediate growth through continued sales of life products, the introduction of a new annuity product and expansions through licensing in additional states.
“Dean Dorton has had the honor and privilege of working with a variety of Kentucky-based companies for several decades now. We get to see firsthand the significant impact these companies have each year on our state’s economy,” said David Bundy, President and CEO of Dean Dorton. “We wanted to create a way that we could recognize their efforts and results, so we have created the Best Bets list.”
The final list of “Best Bet” winners will be published in The Lane Report as well as the April 2019 edition of Kentucky’s Proof. For more information, visit kybestbets.com.
